What We Need

Event Date & Time: 9 July 11:00-16:30 or 10 July 14:00-20:30
Help set up and tidy up the activities, manage crowd control
Serve as chairpersons to accurately record and verify scores, ensuring fairness, impartiality, and transparency throughout the competition
Arrange equipment to create a well-organized competition environment for participants and spectators
Upon completion, an honorarium of $100 will be given. Lunch will also be provided

Background

TALENT CUP 2026 (Primary and Secondary School - Cantonese/English Debate Competition) is organized by the Debate Association and Hong Kong Speech Federation. The competition theme is "Learning without thinking is labor lost; thinking without learning is perilous." This year's secondary school quarterfinals feature topics on human resources, traditional Chinese medicine, and environmental protection, expanding the beneficial activity to broader horizons.

What We Have

Resources provided: Pre-event briefing on role responsibilities (scoring rules, timekeeping), dress code, reporting time, and venue details. Rehearsal Sessions – Mock competitions to practice scoring and timing. Lunch will be provided on the event day. $100 honorarium upon completion of duties.
