Role Description

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
Monitor business activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and organizational governance policies.
Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify potential regulatory, operational, and reputational risks.
Support the design and execution of internal control systems to prevent, detect, and address compliance breaches.
Review internal processes, documentation, and transactions to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory obligations.
Investigate potential compliance issues, incidents, or breaches and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders as required during inspections, audits, or reporting processes.
Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to business units and senior management.
Deliver compliance training and awareness programs to promote a strong culture of ethics and regulatory adherence.
Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and assess their impact on the organization.
Prepare compliance reports, risk assessments, and regulatory filings for internal and external stakeholders.
Support anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and other regulatory compliance programs where applicable.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and investigations.
Collaborate with risk management, legal, and audit teams to ensure integrated governance and control frameworks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and compliance principles.
Knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.
Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical policies.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple compliance tasks and deadlines.
High ethical standards, integrity, and professional judgment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Familiarity with compliance systems, reporting tools, and documentation standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively to regulatory issues.
Experience with AML, KYC, or regulatory reporting frameworks (if applicable).
High level of professionalism and commitment to governance excellence.
