Job Responsibilities

Develop, review and roll‑out retail lending credit risk policies, standards and control frameworks aligned with risk appetite and HKMA regulatory requirements.
Own end‑to‑end policy governance: draft, revise, socialise and maintain credit underwriting rules, limit framework, approval criteria and exception handling procedures for lending products.
Work closely with analytics / modelling team to interpret model outputs, translate model insights into actionable risk policies and business rules; participate in model validation review (hands‑on modelling experience desirable but not primary requirement).
Conduct portfolio risk review, identify emerging risk trends, perform gap analysis and propose policy adjustments to mitigate credit loss.
Support new lending product launch: assess risk implication, define corresponding policy controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
Prepare risk assessment papers, management reporting and policy briefing materials for risk committee and senior stakeholders.
Partner with business, underwriting, operation and compliance teams; provide risk advisory, drive policy implementation and monitor policy adherence.
Respond to regulatory queries, internal / external audit findings related to credit risk policies and controls.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or related disciplines; FRM preferred.
Solid banking background with lending / retail credit risk experience, heavy focus on risk policy formulation and implementation.
Nice‑to‑have: practical exposure to credit risk modelling, stress‑testing or model governance.
Deep understanding of Hong Kong retail lending regulatory landscape and banking risk‑management practices.
Able to balance risk control with commercial business objectives; pragmatic in translating risk principles into operational policies.
Strong stakeholder communication, documentation and analytical skills.

Fluent in English and Cantonese; working Mandarin.
