My client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their growing technology function in Hong Kong.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing infrastructure team, taking ownership of the day-to-day triage and troubleshooting of network issues across the firm's technology environment. This will include monitoring and optimizing Cisco routing infrastructure, SD-WAN deployments, Cisco firewalls, and network performance across multiple sites, identifying root causes of connectivity issues and ensuring network stability and performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including deep knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), SD-WAN architecture and deployment, Cisco firewall management (ASA, FTD), and network troubleshooting methodologies. Experience with Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) is particularly valuable.

Importantly, this role goes beyond basic network maintenance. My client is looking for someone who can bring ideas to the table around improving the firm's network architecture, identifying gaps in existing infrastructure, and helping enhance network resilience, security and performance. Candidates who can demonstrate examples of optimizing routing configurations, implementing SD-WAN improvements, tuning firewall policies or introducing network monitoring and automation will be particularly well suited.

The successful candidate will be technically curious, proactive and comfortable troubleshooting complex issues independently while collaborating closely with security, infrastructure and wider technology teams.
