Job Description

The Director of Facilities will report directly to the General Manager, responsible for leading, planning, and executing all facilities management, engineering operations, and asset preservation strategies across the Club’s properties.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical building systems, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, lifts and fire protection systems
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive routine, periodic, and preventive maintenance programs to maximize asset lifecycle and minimize operational downtime
Monitor utility consumption patterns; design and execute initiatives to reduce the Club’s carbon footprint, optimize energy efficiency, and promote eco-friendly practices
Lead end-to-end facilities project management for minor alterations, additions, and major Capital Expenditure (Capex) renovation projects
Establish clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with external service providers, consultants, and systematically auditing their performance
Oversee the tendering, negotiation, and contract award processes for all facility service contracts to ensure cost control, transparency, and top-tier quality
Direct, mentor, and upskill the in-house and third parties’ team while fostering a proactive & service-oriented culture
Prepare reports and present technical updates or strategic facility roadmaps to the Development Committee and Board of Governors as required
Manage staffing levels across full-time, part-time, and casual

Qualifications & Requirements

Degree Holder or above in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or Engineering
At least 10 years’ facilities/property management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or director-level capacity. Experience within luxury hospitality or premium private clubs is highly preferred
Ability to handle both high level strategic planning and operational hands-on administrative duties simultaneously
Proven capability to plan, organize, and implement complex infrastructure projects
Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
A flexible, collaborative approach to problem solving
Fluency in English, along with strong commercial acumen regarding the Asian market
