TransBridge Advisors is building a pre operational Hong Kong Money Service Operator (MSO) from the ground up and we are looking for the person who will own AML/CFT compliance from day one and stand as our Money Laundering Reporting Officer before the Customs & Excise Department (C&ED).

This is a foundational hire. You will not inherit a framework: you will build it, defend it in front of the

regulator, and run it once we go live.

The role

As Compliance Officer / MLRO, you will:

• Build TransBridge Advisors' AML/CFT framework which includes institutional ML/TF risk assessment, internal

AML/CFT policies and procedures, CDD/EDD workflows, and ongoing monitoring controls, aligned

with the AMLO (Cap. 615), Schedule 2, and the C&ED Guideline on AML/CFT for Money Service

Operators.

• Act as the central reference point for suspicious transaction reporting: reviewing internal disclosures

and exception reports, deciding whether a report to the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit (JFIU) is

warranted, and liaising with JFIU and law enforcement.

• Lead the AML/CFT workstream of our MSO licence application and prepare key personnel for C&ED's

competence assessment and on-site inspection.

• Own sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening logic, wire-transfer and remittance controls,

record-keeping (6-year retention), and staff training.

• Report to senior management and serve as the MSO's day-to-day point of contact with C&ED's Money

Service Supervision Bureau.

What makes you C&ED-ready for the MLRO role

We are hiring with one clear test in mind: you must be appointable as the MLRO of a licensed Hong

Kong MSO. That means you bring:

• Seniority and authority. A track record at management / senior level, with the standing to act on your

own authority, access any customer or transaction record, and escalate without obstruction.

• A Hong Kong base. Ordinarily resident in Hong Kong and a HKID holder, able to be appointed as an

employee of the licensee and reachable by the regulator and JFIU.

• A clean fit-and-proper profile. No adverse criminal or regulatory history — your background should

withstand C&ED's fit-and-proper scrutiny under section 30 of the AMLO.

• Deep AML/CFT knowledge. Working command of the AMLO, DTROP (Cap. 405), OSCO (Cap. 455),

UNATMO (Cap. 575), UNSO (Cap. 537) and WMD(CPS)O (Cap. 526) — and how they translate into

MSO obligations.

• Hands-on STR experience. You have prepared and filed suspicious transaction reports and

understand the disclosure, ‘tipping off’ and reporting offences.

• Relevant experience. 5+ years in AML/CFT compliance within an MSO, bank, payments firm, VASP

or comparable regulated environment in Hong Kong — ideally including a licence application or a

C&ED / regulatory inspection.

Nice to have

• ACAMS (CAMS), an ICA Diploma, or an equivalent AML/CFT qualification

• Prior experience as a named CO or MLRO on a Hong Kong MSO licence.

• Familiarity with cross-border remittance and currency-exchange business models.

• Cantonese and English; Mandarin a plus.
