The Accountant (AP) handles the end-to-end accounts payable function across our corporate entities and regional property portfolios. Moving beyond basic data entry, this role requires an analytical professional who can manage complex multi-entity cost allocations, oversee vendor relationships, and lead month-end AP closing processes. This role reports directly to the Vice President – Finance, Hong Kong and offers a direct path into broader corporate accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Controls & Invoice Accounting

Execute multi-entity coding, verifying, and posting of high-volume vendor invoices, property construction costs, and operational utilities.
Review complex cost allocations between property operating companies and management companies.
Ensure full compliance with internal financial control policies, matching invoices against purchase orders and operational approvals.

Cash Management & Vendor Relations

Plan and execute weekly and monthly bank payment runs via electronic banking platforms.
Liaise directly with vendors, contractors, and property managers to resolve payment queries and pricing discrepancies.
Audit and process employee expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.

Month-End Closing & Reporting

Lead the AP month-end close process, ensuring accurate expense accruals and prepayments.
Reconcile vendor statements, bank accounts, and intercompany AP balances.
Prepare aging reports and cash flow forecasts related to upcoming supplier payables.
Support external auditors by providing required schedules, supporting documents, and transaction samples.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related discipline.
Currently pursuing or holding a professional qualification (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CPA) will be a plus.
3–5 years of solid accounting experience, with a core focus on accounts payable and general ledger activities.
Prior experience in Real Estate development, Property Management, Hospitality sectors is highly advantageous.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience working with modern ERP accounting software.
Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is mandatory.
High level of integrity, strong analytical skills, and the agility to adapt within a rapid-growth company culture.
