Junior Execution Trader (Index Rebalance Pod) - Hong Kong

The Firm:

My client is a large, global multi-strategy investment firm running systematic and quantitative trading strategies across equity markets.

The Role:

An index rebalance pod is hiring a Junior Execution Trader to support portfolio implementation, event trading, and daily execution across APAC equity markets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, numerically strong, and looking to build a career in a fast-paced buy-side trading environment.

What You'll Do:

Support portfolio managers in the execution of index rebalance and event-driven equity flows
Partner with PMs, quants, and technologists to improve workflows and execution performance
Prepare post-trade summaries and contribute to research on liquidity patterns, auction behavior, and rebalance impact

What We're Looking For:

1–3 years of experience in execution trading, sales trading, electronic trading, equity trading support, or a related market-facing role
Strong understanding of equities market structure, including auctions, dark/lit venues, order types, and execution algorithms
Familiarity with index products, benchmark rebalances, ETFs, and passive/systematic trading flows is preferred
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
Mandarin and/or Japanese language proficiency preferred
Process-driven and collaborative, with a strong interest in market microstructure and execution
