A senior HR leader and strategic partner responsible for four key areas: Rewards & Governance, HR Business Partnering, Talent Development, and Strategic Projects (Culture & Wellbeing). Works with the Head of Human Resources APAC and business leaders to align people strategies with business performance, compliance, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Rewards & Governance: Lead total rewards, compensation cycles (merit, bonuses, LTI), regulatory compliance, and Remuneration Committee reporting.
HR Business Partnering: Support regional HR strategy and partner with senior leadership on business challenges and growth.
Talent Development: Drive L&D roadmap, leadership development, skills gap analysis, and succession planning.
Strategic Projects: Oversee well-being strategy (physical, mental, career, social) and champion DEI initiatives.

Requirements:

University graduate with 15+ years of HR experience in banking and financial services across Asia-Pacific.
Must have proven expertise in total rewards (STI/LTI, merit cycles, remuneration committee reporting).
Strong experience in talent development, L&D, and succession planning.
Team player with strong interpersonal, analytical, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Solid understanding of HR best practices, compliance, and banking regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation/influencing skills.

Head of Human Resources - Hong Kong (Ref: HR041)

A Senior Leadership Role at a Prestigious European Bank.

This is a strategic senior management role responsible for leading, developing, and managing the entire HR function for Hong Kong operations. As a key business partner to the leadership team, this role drives people and organizational initiatives that support the bank’s prestige, values, and growth objectives. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, operational excellence leader, and brand ambassador, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and group directives.

Core responsibilities:

Lead the Hong Kong HR function as a strategic partner to management, overseeing workforce planning, talent management, rewards, performance, and succession planning.
Ensure the compliant, efficient, and effective delivery of all HR services, in accordance with local and group regulations.
Collaborate with local, regional, and group stakeholders; lead change management initiatives.
Manage and develop the Hong Kong HR team;
Ensure alignment and continuous enhancement of HR processes across the bank, locations, and the Group
Provide management reporting and drive continuous improvement, including salary benchmarking and process reviews.

Requirements:

15+ years of HR experience, with at least 8 years in senior HR leadership within private banking/wealth management/financial services in Hong Kong or APAC.
Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business, Psychology, or related); professional HR certification preferred.
Deep knowledge of Hong Kong employment laws, HKMA regulations (i.e., CG-5 guideline), and data privacy.
Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin highly desirable.
Competencies: strategic yet hands-on, strong compliance mindset, leadership by example, change management, and collaboration skills.
