We are looking for a detail-oriented and control-focused Senior Accountant to oversee the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function for Hong Kong. This role is primarily responsible for reviewing and governing P2P activities performed by the Shared Service Center (SSC), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control.

You will act as a key liaison between the Hong Kong business and SSC, while also playing a role in preparing the organization for upcoming ERP transformation initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

P2P Oversight & Review

Review end-to-end P2P transactions processed by SSC, including vendor master data, purchase orders, invoice processing, and payments
Ensure compliance with internal policies, approval matrix, and control requirements
Perform periodic quality reviews and identify control gaps or process inefficiencies

Month-End Close & Financial Control

Review AP-related closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and aging analysis
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for Hong Kong
Investigate variances and resolve discrepancies with SSC and stakeholders

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Controls

Review and ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations prepared by SSC or relevant teams
Investigate and resolve reconciling items, ensuring timely clearance
Strengthen internal controls over cash management and bank-related transactions

Internal Control & Governance

Coordinate the bi-annual Internal Control Self-Assessment (ICSA) across Hong Kong functions
Engage business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of control assessments
Review submissions, challenge control design and effectiveness, and ensure remediation actions are properly tracked
Support internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and proper documentation
Monitor adherence to corporate policies, DOA, and control frameworks

Process Improvement & ERP Transformation

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and controls within P2P and cash processes
Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
Play a key role in the upcoming ERP transition

Provide support and solutions to any ad hoc assignments

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum 5–7 years’ relevant experience, with exposure to Shared Service Center environments preferred
Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes, bank reconciliation, and internal controls
Experience in reviewing and overseeing accounting operations rather than purely transactional processing
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP; Dynamics exposure is an advantage)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skill
Good command of English and Cantonese
