About the Role

You will be working in a team of 50 consisting of experienced back-end developers, front-end developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. Our team uses a two-week sprint that segments our work into tasks that can easily be completed, and close out work items quickly. We appreciate talents who are eager to learn more and explore the best way of doing it - and I'm sure you will benefit from our fun and fast-paced culture!

Responsibilities

Work with engineering leads and product managers to constantly ship new features of our social commerce platform
Ensure the team follow established best practices and raise the bar for engineering excellence.
Review technology choices, development methodology, and best practices while balancing the creation of new functionality, immediate needs of existing customers, and long-term architecture/infrastructure.
Build and nurture an engineering culture of users and business impact, helping engineers understand how their work aligns with the business goals
Stay hands-on with technical design and implementation, providing clear guidance and mentorship.
Manage the performance, provide coaching, and support career growth for engieers.

What You'll Need

Degree in Computer Science, Maths or any other relevant degrees
Experienced in microservice architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, distributed HTAP database strongly preferred
Experience in software development using React & Java would be preferred (C#, ASP.NET Core are a plus) (the team uses microservices hence other relevant languages would be great too)
Deep knowledge in cloud-based systems
Familiarity using Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Experience with Microsoft Azure or other equivalents
Be flexible, grow, and learn quickly in a startup environment
Detailed Minded and obsessed with our products; Attitude is the single most important attribute our team values
Good team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Understanding of what it takes to work with a startup company
Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills, good listener, ability to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table, and be an advocate of the user.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational delivery.
