Job Posting Details

The Accounting Officer will oversee all aspects of research project accounting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incomes and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct financial analysis, reporting, and post-event reviews of functional areas for management discussion.
Prepare financial reports for research projects following University and funding agencies' accounting policies.
Establish project accounts for research projects, manage daily budget inquiries, and handle administration matters.
Assess internal controls, maintain financial systems per policies/procedures.
Perform User Acceptance Tests for system development and process enhancements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or related fields with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Preferably a member or student member of accounting bodies like HKICPA/ACCA.
Experience with relevant ERP systems is advantageous.
Must possess strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with University staff.
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Accounting Officer.

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
