Job Description

What you'll do:

Participate in government-funded and industrial consultancy projects for manufacturing industries, e.g. Metal, Toys, Jewellery, Shoes, Consumer Products, etc.
Implement R&D projects and related technology commercialization activities such as training, workshop, seminar, conference, study mission, exhibition, etc.
Support business development by engaging with stakeholders, such as clients, associations, universities, government officers, overseas partner, etc.
Perform ad hoc assignments when required
Occasional travel to Chinese Mainland and overseas for project implementation

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Science, Engineering, Fashion & Clothing, Automation, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Candidates with experience in implementing Government funded project, preparing government proposal, e.g. ITF, TSF, NITTP, will be an advantage.
Experience in applying AI in daily work such as marketing, design or manufacturing operations will be an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical and commercialization concepts to various stakeholders
Self-motivated, well organised, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure
Good command of English and Chinese
Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the position of Technical Officer

Note:

1. Applicant may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position.

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
