This is a high‑impact role within Gammon’s Transformation Team, responsible for shaping and delivering enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives that drive sustainable performance improvement.
The Transformation Manager will act as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional leaders, working across business units to translate business priorities into tangible outcomes. The scope of transformation spans operating model transformation, organisational change, end‑to‑end process improvement, digitalisation, cost and productivity optimisation, and culture / mindset change.
This is a high-profile role with direct exposure to the Executive Committee, including the CEO and CFO, and plays a critical role in ensuring transformation initiatives deliver measurable financial, operational, and behavioral impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Transformation Delivery
- Partnering with business units and vendors to translate business priorities into clear transformation roadmaps, initiatives, and implementation plans with defined outcomes, benefits, and success measures;
- Drive the delivery of complex, cross‑functional transformation programmes to improve financial performance;
- Deliver operating model, end-to-end process and ways of working changes required to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost and performance;
- Drive digitisation and automation opportunities as enablers of business transformation (not technology‑led, but business‑outcome driven).
Stakeholder & Change Leadership
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders and business unit heads to shape solutions, challenge the status quo, and drive alignment;
- Influence stakeholders across levels to adopt and embed new operating models, processes, behaviours, and mindsets;
- Anticipate, navigate, and constructively manage resistance to change in a complex, project‑based operating environment;
- Balance challenge and support—constructively pushing leaders and teams while building ownership and capability within the business.
Insights, Value Tracking & Governance
- Use data, financial analysis, and structured methodologies to diagnose performance issues, identify value levers, generate actionable recommendations to leadership and business units;
- Track, report, and govern transformation progress, benefits realisation, and cost optimisation outcomes;
- Establish clear performance metrics and ensure EBITDA, productivity, and efficiency improvements are realised and sustained.
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify further transformation and improvement opportunities as understanding of the business deepens;
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Gammon’s transformation capability, toolkits, and ways of working.
Experience & Capabilities:
Required Experience
- 10–12 years of experience in enterprise or business transformation, with a strong track record of hands-on delivery rather than advisory-only roles;
- Background in management consulting (strategy, operations or transformation) combined with in-house experience leading or delivering transformation initiatives within a complex organization highly preferred;
- Proven experience driving large‑scale, complex, cross‑functional transformation initiatives through to implementation and benefits realization;
- Practical experience across one or more of the following areas:Target Operating Model and ways-of-working design; Organisation and workforce transformation; End-to-end process transformation and operational efficiency
- Cost, productivity and performance improvement
- Change and adoption in complex, matrixed environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem‑solving and structured thinking, with the ability to move from ambiguity to clarity;
- Ability to act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders during execution, not just during design phases;
- Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority, align diverse stakeholders, and manage competing priorities;
- Solid programme / project management and PMO capability, with discipline in delivery and governance;
- Strong commercial and financial acumen; comfortable linking initiatives to P&L and EBITDA impact;
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to turn analysis into clear, actionable insights.
Education & Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; MBA or other advanced degree is not a must but preferred;
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) is an advantage;
- Fluency in English and Cantonese.
