Reporting to the Inspection & Technical Support Engineer
To perform low-voltage metering duties
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering

Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Inspection & Technical Support Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:

To perform low-voltage metering duties, including the installation, replacement, removal, and verification of tariff meters and associated metering equipment, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of metering systems
To carry out electricity supply connections and disconnections, and conduct inspections and prepare reports for customers’ low-voltage electrical installations prior to energisation
To investigate and resolve power quality issues, and provide technical support for riser systems, e-mobility infrastructure and various Smart Power funds
To support departmental operations by undertaking ad-hoc assignments and tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery

Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines

A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
Sound knowledge of the Electricity Ordinance, Code of Practice for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations, other relevant statutory requirements, and HK Electric’s Supply Rules
Registered Electrical Worker (REW) preferred, with a valid driving license an advantage
Know-how to operate, collaborate, and communicate effectively in the Microsoft 365 environment
Good communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset
Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written

Candidates with lower qualification may be considered for the position of Technician.
