Role Purpose
The Manager, Retail Training & Development, Hong Kong & Macau, plays a pivotal role in advancing retail performance, customer experience and people capability in Hong Kong & Macau market, while contributing to broader Greater China business and retail talent priorities.
This role translates brand, market and business strategies into impactful learning and development initiatives, enabling retail teams and leaders to perform at their best in a dynamic luxury retail environment. Balancing strategic influence with hands-on execution, the role designs and delivers training, coaches in the field, and partners closely with Retail, HR and cross-functional teams to drive adoption and measurable impact. Build Retail & Customer Experience Capability
- Design, localize and deliver product, selling and customer experience learning that translates brand and market strategy into practical, store-ready behaviors.
- Drive capability building that supports sales growth and customer experience across Hong Kong & Macau stores.
- Partner with Retail leadership to enable key business initiatives, e.g. brand campaigns, customer experience programs and new store openings, etc., ensuring people and capability readiness.
- Conduct regular store visits, field coaching and on-floor engagement to embed learning, elevate execution standards and strengthen the customer experience.
- Identify training needs through data, feedback and observation, and build practical solutions for all retail levels.
Drive Retail Team & Leadership Development
- Develop store teams and retail leaders through coaching, facilitation and structured capability programs.
- Support retail leadership and talent pipelines in partnership with HR by designing and delivering tailored development programs and learning journeys.
- Continuously evolve learning approaches to improve relevance, engagement and adoption in a fast-changing retail landscape.
Lead Learning Projects, Operations & Execution
- Deliver and localize learning in agile, practical formats that fit retail operations (classroom, in-store, on-the-job, digital and toolkits), and maintain accurate training records and resources.
- Measure learning effectiveness and follow up on actions continuously to improve and maximize business and people outcomes.
- Own translation and adaptation of global learning materials to ensure accuracy, brand voice and local market relevance.
- Administer and enhance the learning platform to improve engagement and learner experience.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth and professional execution of learning initiatives and events.

Qualifications, Experiences & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail training and development; experience in luxury, fashion or cosmetics is strongly preferred. Less experienced candidates may be considered at Assistant Manager level.
- Demonstrated capability in training needs analysis, facilitation, field coaching, customer service and career development programs.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and Chinese word processing; comfortable working with digital learning platforms.
- Professional training certifications, e.g. coaching, facilitation, instructional design, etc., are an advantage.
