We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:

Part-time Technical Assistant (Phlebotomist) (N&HS) (Ref: 260013C)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will mainly assist the research teams in the School for one or more of the following tasks:

Blood taking for research projects;
Supporting data collection events;
Assisting in various data collection (e.g., blood pressure, height and weight) in data collection event; and
Providing project-related assistant when required.

The candidate will work for not more than 68 hours per 4 consecutive weeks.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics;
Certification for phlebotomy is preferred;
Strong communication skills and a good team player;
Experience in community event is an advantage;
A good command of Chinese and English; and
Preference will be given to those with experience in handling biological specimens or working with human subjects for research studies.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
