(Senior) Business Analyst (Contract till 31 December 2026)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading the overall delivery of assigned projects within General Insurance portfolio and act as the key contact for all the teams involved in the assigned project
Prepare, manage and track Project Plan, Cost, Scope and RAID log (Risks, Actions, Issues and Dependencies)
Work with project stakeholders to understand or define the scope of an assigned project.
Manage the full delivery cycle of a project, from initiation, scoping, requirement, design, build, test, deployment to business change transition to go-live; including post launch business verification, warranty supports and post implementation reviews.
Run the Project Workgroup meeting, Project Steering Committee; prepare all regular progress reports, updates & meeting minutes for the Project Delivery
Maintain close working relationships with internal and external contacts including project team members, staff, local authorities, etc.
Must be IT technical sound to establish a close & aligned working model with Product Owners, IT solution architect, IT delivery teams (scrum or fixed capacity teams), infrastructure/network/cloud engineering to ensure that the optimal solution is delivered against the agreed scope or requirements meeting the time to market needs under an agile MVP / continuous delivery.
Be an effective change agent (as this is a Business Project Manager role) and for small and medium sized project the candidate could be acting as a business analyst to define the requirements and author user stories.
Prepare and coordinate all business change activities to ensure that the project delivered solution is transitioned to production with change impact managed & little to minimal disruption to internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare user guide, user manuals and draft change communications for Change Management Lead reviews.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with strong communication & organizational skills who is passionate about delivering a solution to the business by leading the delivery of a project under a team of business and IT professionals. The candidate could be either an effective Project Manager or a strong Business Analyst who understands the General Insurance or Insurance business and aspires to step into the Project Management career path.

The ideal candidate should have -

Good understanding of insurance business and the value chain, ideally gained under General Insurance or the financial services sector.
Solid experience in Project Management as Project Manager
Good knowledge and experience of best practice project management methodologies and techniques to provide sound advice and support to Project Managers and Sponsors.
Experience in working on large scale organization-wide reengineering projects, preferably in a financial services institution
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
Proficient in business metrics and strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with ability to develop concise and effective communications for business & IT stakeholders.
Negotiation skills with ability to resolve conflict situations.
Good interpersonal skills in building positive working relationships with diverse teams. Ability to influence, educate and collaborate to effectively achieve harmonious results.
Sound judgement and initiative.
Experience in contract and vendor management
Sound decision making skills
Ability to influence others to manage the projects in accordance with project management best practice and meeting Council guidelines and processes.
Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately report on project progress and outcomes to working groups and project steering groups.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio, JIRA/Confluence
Ability to work well in a multicultural environment with different stakeholders
Fluent in English
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Business Analyst
