We’re now looking for a talented professional from Finance field to be our Business Unit Controller to serves as the strategic finance partner in our Ice Cream & Chilled division, with end‑to‑end accountability for financial performance, governance, and insight. Embedded within the business, this role goes beyond traditional controllership to actively shape commercial decisions, drive profitability, fulfill short term business targets and long term business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in the strategy development and provide associated scenario planning to optimize shareholder value.
- Key player in the Monthly Business Planning Process (esp. Commercial Review & Consensus Demand Planning), providing transparency and direction towards target achievement at any time in the process. Facilitate the Dynamic Forecast process.
- Review monthly actual performance and identify areas of risk to achievement of targets and forecasts and develop/follow up action plans.
- Analyze and challenge product portfolio to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate Value Destroyers, and reduce unnecessary complicity, i.e. no of SKU, no of specification etc.
- Promote the culture of Return on Invested Capital / ATR on CAPEX related topics (whenever relevant) including Post Evaluation of Capex proposals. Develop, control and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests.
- Maximize the return on investment from TTS/PFME (including revised pricing structure/prices). Work with Factory and Supply Chain together to drive for different TDC saving projects.
- Active role in succession planning across NiM F&C organization. Ensure a solid understanding of the value creation framework among the non finance experts.
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting/Business Administration, and member of recognized accounting bodies
- Experience as a business partner to commercial functions
- Strong multi-stakeholder management ability and good communication skills
- Expert in data analysis and strong business acumen
- Capability to interpreting market research data, forecasting and budgeting
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Good knowledge of IT/Systems (including Microsoft Office and SAP) with strong presentation skills
