Job Description

The Engagement and Partnership Officer plays a key role in advancing the Welfare Council’s engagement, partnership and fundraising initiatives.
Working closely with the Engagement and Partnership Manager within the Corporate Communications and Marketing Department, this role bridges internal service teams and external partners, helping to support our mission and long-term sustainability through fundraising, donor engagement and collaborative opportunities. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys relationship-building, programme coordination and translating social needs into collaborative opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Explore and identify fundraising, engagement and partnership opportunities with a wide range of organisations, including statutory bodies, tertiary institutions, and business corporates;
Plan, coordinate and implement fundraising programmes and events;
Collaborate closely with service teams across the Welfare Council to understand service needs and develop appropriate engagement, donation and partnership strategies;
Support and manage fundraising operations, including the online donation platform and donor management system, including preparation of donation receipts, reports and donor communication materials;
Support digital marketing and social media initiatives to enhance visibility, traffic and donor engagement;
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve department and the organizational objectives;
Perform other duties as assigned in support of engagement and partnership development.

Requirements:

Degree holder or above in any related disciplines (e.g., business administration, marketing, communications, public administration or social work) or equivalent practical experience;
Minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership management, business development, event management, or related roles. Experience in fundraising in charitable organisations, or experience in corporate social responsibility, is an advantage;
Innovative, sociable, open-minded and proactive attitude;
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively;
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
Proficiency in MS Office applications, Chinese word processing, and other social networking tools;
Knowledge of digital marketing and database management is an advantage.
