Role Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Group’s finance operations, with a focus on transactional processing, reconciliation, and financial data integrity.
Based in Hong Kong, this role will support increasing business volumes and enhanced reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Group-level financial policies and control standards.
The position will work closely with the Group Finance team and cross-functional stakeholders to support day-to-day finance operations and month-end close activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Transaction Processing & Reconciliation
- Perform detailed reconciliation of operational expenses and transactions against internal records and supporting documentation
- Track and validate payments across reporting periods
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
2. Financial Data Support & Reporting
- Support preparation of monthly financial data and schedules
- Assist in validating cost allocations and profitability metrics
- Maintain supporting working files for internal review and audit purposes
3. Operational Accounting Support
- Assist in booking and reviewing accounting entries in accordance with Group policies
- Ensure consistent application of accounting treatments across transactions
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and adjustments
4. Process & Control Support
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for financial transactions
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and reconciliation processes
- Support implementation of process improvements as business scales
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across regions, including finance,operations, and business teams
- Support communication with auditors where required
- Work closely with Group Finance to ensure alignment with reporting standards
Qualification:
- Diploma / Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Experience handling high-volume transactional data is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Able to work independently with a structured approach
- Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (spoken and written), to support coordination with regional stakeholders
