This position will be responsible for procurement activities and ensure we are procuring fit-for-purpose products and services required by the organization while being compliant to all our policies. Strategic Sourcing is responsible for end-to-end procurement across key spend categories and business stakeholders’ management. This role bridges internal stakeholders’ needs, supplier management and procurement execution. The trainee will play an important role in supporting the Strategic Sourcing department.

Main Responsibilities:

Sourcing: manages purchases cost-effectively in a product category and/or for an activity of the company

Manage or co-manage procurement projects
Assume responsibility for the procurement needs of a specific activity from the expression of need up to the drafting of contract
Ensure all purchases conducted strictly adhere and complies with all aspects of our
Procurement Policy

Vendor Management: manages the vendor governance activities

Ensure compliance with all aspects of our Vendor Management Policy – facilitate / coordinate vendor registration, due diligence, including adhering to policies related to Business Continuity Planning, Essential Outsourcing Services, Anti-Bribery Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Barnier and Regulatory policies imposed by Compliance, etc. Conduct ongoing monitoring, supervision, and reporting, as stated in the Vendor Management Policy;
Manage Know Your Supplier (KYS) process in the Region, coordinating with KYS teams located in Portugal and our Compliance Teams
Ensure performance reviews are done in a timely manner, complete per Policy requirements

Continuous improvement:

Understand the current processes and propose improvement and automation options (e.g., low-code/no-code)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier databases, contract database, saving tracker and procurement records and documentation.
Support Procurement and Workplace BAU work and ad-hoc tasks

Required Skills:

Academic studies: preferably Fintech, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Legal Studies or Information Systems.
English is a must and Chinese is preferred. Any additional Asian language and/or French will be a plus
Good Communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive attitude
Ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities
Strong analytical skills with experience in using MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
