Role Description

The Economic Analyst / Industry Analyst is responsible for delivering in-depth analysis of macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and market developments to support strategic decision-making. This role focuses on interpreting economic indicators, evaluating sector performance, and identifying emerging opportunities and risks that may impact business outcomes.

The position involves gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources, including economic reports, market research, financial data, and policy developments. The analyst translates complex data into clear insights, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.

A key aspect of the role is monitoring industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes. The analyst develops forecasts, builds analytical models, and produces reports that inform strategic planning, investment decisions, and business development initiatives. The role also requires synthesizing global and regional economic conditions to assess their potential impact on specific industries or markets.

In addition, the Economic Analyst / Industry Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business cases, evaluate new opportunities, and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives. The ability to communicate findings effectively through written reports, presentations, and briefings is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and economic indicators.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, statistical methods, and financial modeling.
Solid understanding of macroeconomic principles, industry structures, and market dynamics.
Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely.
Ability to develop forecasts, scenario analyses, and strategic recommendations.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to tracking emerging trends and developments.
