Senior Business Analyst - Data Science & Governance

Responsibilities

Assist Section Head & Senior Manager, AI & Data Solution to steer product vision and deliver high-impact business outcomes
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, analyze customer insights, and drive iterative funding and product-based value delivery.
Assist POD teams in sequencing and prioritizing work aligned with business objectives such as revenue and cost management.
Collaborate with product owners to refine product vision and roadmaps based on customer feedback and analytics.
Conduct in-depth conversations and leverage tools like A/B testing and analytics to gather insights on customer journeys.
Engage with business officials through storytelling and expert insights to drive product relevance.
Participate in defining and redefining product vision at the start of each sprint and subsequent releases.
Communicate product features and business value to secure necessary funding through compelling data insights and dashboards.
Lead initiatives to define business objectives and translate them into product KPIs, organizing teams around high-value customer journeys.
Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree holder is preferred.
8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with experience in a leadership or senior role focusing on business outcomes.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within Agile environments.
Experience acting as a proxy Product Owner (PO) is highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of banking products and services is preferred
Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong relationship-building skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
Deep understanding of customer journeys and the ability to gather and interpret customer insights.
Proven ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working successfully within agile development teams.
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin).
