Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is accountable for the end-to-end analysis, design, implementation, enhancement, and daily functional support of enterprise-level applications. Serving as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and the IT department, this role ensures technology solutions align with corporate strategic objectives. The position collaborates across diverse business functions, supports complex operational processes, and drives continuous business and system improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with cross-business unit stakeholders to grasp business strategies and convert them into feasible and clear technical requirements.

Collect, analyze, and formalize business requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications for developers and technical teams.

Conduct stakeholder interviews and user story grooming sessions to refine requirements and align expectations among all parties.

Act as the primary liaison between business users and IT teams to verify that solutions satisfy user needs and business goals.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, test case validation, and defect tracking and resolution throughout the testing lifecycle.

Conduct impact analysis, risk assessment, and change management support for new system releases and process updates.

Technical Responsibilities

Maintain solid knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure) and modern solution architecture frameworks.

Understand core database concepts, including Relational Databases and NoSQL systems.

Work with API integrations, RESTful services, and event-driven architecture.

Possess basic programming literacy to understand code logic and support issue troubleshooting.

Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

Develop clear technical documentation, process maps, workflow diagrams, and system architecture visuals.

Delivery & Project Management

Manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives, delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.

Thrive in Agile working environments, actively participating in Scrum events including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Support release planning, deployment coordination, and system rollout and post-launch stabilization.

Ensure strong collaboration with developers, QA, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

5–10 years of professional experience in business systems analysis or a closely related role.

Ability to design and deliver effective business solutions that improve operational efficiency and strengthen competitive advantage.

Strong problem-solving skills with proven experience analyzing complex issues and delivering innovative resolutions.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.

Strong documentation, presentation, and organizational skills; proficient with tools including Confluence, Visio, PowerPoint, Azure DevOps / Jira.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality output in fast-paced environments.

Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
