College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

Assistant Academic Affairs Officer (Ref. 260213-01)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative support for a wide range of general office administration duties, such as tender preparation, purchasing, inventory control and payments;
(b) assist in the coordination of office daily operations;
(c) play a key role in managing the operations of Service Counter and enquiry hotlines;
(d) support central exercises, projects and special activities;
(e) liaise with internal staff, departments of PolyU and other educational/professional organisations, and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least two years of relevant experience, preferably gained in the tertiary education sector;
(c) good communication skills in English and Chinese including Putonghua;
(d) good interpersonal skills and spirits of a team player;
(e) good computing skills, and
(f) a mind for details.

Applicants with an associate degree/higher diploma but more experience will also be considered.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

An attractive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a two-year contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
