Purpose of Role
The
Manager, Talent Acquisition reports to the Sr. Director of HR, APAC. This role leads all recruitment for corporate and retail functions across APAC, excluding China and Korea. The position identifies internal and external talent for open roles and advises Business Leaders on hiring decisions across multiple business units.
The Manager owns full cycle recruitment and leads the team to partner with HRBPs and HR coordinators to deliver a high quality candidate experience. The role strengthens employer branding, supports the Rookie Program and contributes to APAC TA policy development. It maintains strong working relationships with HRBPs, Finance and Business Leaders across the region.
Your Impact
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and drive regional recruitment strategy to meet business needs.
- Coach and develop the TA teammate, set goals and manage performance.
- Provide talent insights to Business Leaders, based on internal hiring data, market benchmarks and competitive research.
- Guide team execution of diversity initiatives and ensure fairness in hiring.
- Allocate resources to support hiring volume, prioritization and service levels.
- Manage the TA budget for APAC. Plan and track spending for job postings, sourcing tools, events and university partnerships. Ensure efficient use of resources and propose cost optimizations when needed.
- Full‑Cycle Recruitment Delivery
- Lead end to end recruitment for Corporate and Retail roles across APAC (exl China & Korea)
- Conduct hiring manager briefings, manage job postings, source candidates, assess skills, oversee interview process and close offers.
- Support senior level searches and strategic talent sourcing with the Sr. Director HR APAC.
- Manage weekly updates with candidates and hiring managers to maintain momentum and clarity.
- Sourcing Excellence & Market Insights
- Build sourcing strategies using platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, social channels, networks, referrals, job fairs and competitive market research.
- Maintain talent pipelines for key functions and markets.
- Conduct analysis on salary trends, competitors and agencies. Use insights to shape hiring recommendations.
- Talent Programs & Employer Branding
- Lead Rookie Program hiring and project management
- Strengthen university and college partnerships to build a sustainable early‑career pipeline.
- Partner with Global TA team and Brand partners to amplify employer branding across APAC.
- Support APAC TA policy updates and process improvements.
- Stakeholder Partnership & Governance
- Lead recruitment status meetings with hiring managers.
- Partner closely with HRBPs, HR Operation, Total rewards throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Ensure consistent use of ATS workflows, documentation and data accuracy.
- Track and report key TA metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring speed and quality.
- Ensure all recruitment activity is compliant and aligned with regional processes.
- Monitor vendor spend, annual contracts and recruitment-related expenses. Collaborate with HR/Finance on budget planning and quarterly reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 8 years of full-lifecycle, high volume recruitment; in-house/corporate recruiting experience preferred. 3 years in leadership role preferred.
- Hiring experience across APAC markets (HK, TW, VN, Jourdan, SG, MY, TH, AU, TH, etc).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledgeable with recruitment tools, technologies, and platforms such as SuccessFactors, LinkedIn Recruiter, and/or others preferred.
- Able to work independently in a dynamic environment of change and high volume recruitment with the constant challenge of multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills; this individual should have the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.
- Team player with the ability to build partnerships with clients, vendors/ preferred suppliers and HR colleagues.
- Accountable for projects and owns time management.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into recommendations.
- Highly motivated with a proactive work ethic and an eye for detail.
- High degree of initiative and can "think on your feet" in stressful and ambiguous situations.
- Able to handle the highest level of confidential issues with the utmost sensitivity.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Hong Kong office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
- Travel: Up to 10% as needed to other regional offices.
