Teacher Assistant (Part-time)

About the job:

As the Teacher Assistant of the Bridges Programme of International Christian School, Hong Kong, you will be joining a team of seasoned and dynamic Christian professionals who will welcome your skills and experience to provide classroom and logistic support to the classroom teacher, including student learning and supervision, small group instruction, etc.

The successful candidate will commence immediately through to June 12, 2026.

What you will do:

Provide learning support for students in the Bridges classroom and other learning environments, either in one-on-one or small groups as directed by the Bridges teacher or specialty teacher.
Prepare and administer a variety of learning materials, equipment and supplies. Help with creation of displays and resources.
Assist with the implementation of behavior modification techniques, conflict resolution strategies, problem-solving models, and general classroom management.
Model and encourage high standards and expectations of professional conduct at all times.

We are looking for someone with:

Strong passion and commitment to Christian education, with a positive attitude and a growth mindset.
Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline. Candidates possess relevant qualifications in special education will be an added advantage.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
Knowledge of learning management systems, Microsoft software (e.g. Office 365) and Google workspace applications. Knowledge of PowerSchool would be an advantage.
Meticulous with self-initiative. Highly organized, detail-oriented with good time management.
Excellent interpersonal skills, collaboration and teamwork. Responsive to direction.
Ability to handle emergency situations in accordance with appropriate safety protocols and maintain a calm demeanor.
Immediate availability is highly preferred.
