Principal IT Specialist (System Infrastructure) (Ref: IT-INT-SI-PITS-CT)

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Principal IT Lead, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:

To implement and manage servers, virtualisation platform, and data storage and backup systems
To oversee system upgrades, security, automation, and performance optimisation
To maintain documentation and ensure system compliance
To collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth system integration with enterprise applications
To support IT infrastructure-related projects, evaluate emerging technologies and mentor junior staff

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
- Server OS (e.g. Microsoft Windows Server, Redhat Linux)
- Data storage and backup platforms (e.g. Huawei, Veeam, EMC)
- Monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds)
- Server Security (e.g. Trendmicro, Illumio)
Certification in ITIL, PMP or any of the above areas an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written

Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Senior IT Specialist.

This is a 2-year contract position. Renewal of contract or appointment as a member of our permanent workforce is subject to the Company’s business needs and the performance of the individual.
