The Hong Kong Jockey Club
Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The Department
The part-time Administration Assistant will input, update and verify data and support the implementation of a data migration project. The ideal candidate should have essential data entry skills, be fast-typing with an eye for detail and be familiar with spreadsheets and online forms. Candidates with programming skills will have an opportunity to carry out data wrangling and analysis.
The Job
- Input data into a system through an online platform accurately
- Maintain accurate records of valuable organisation information
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor, such as outreach for data collection
About You
- Currently enrolled in a Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Decision Science, or related undergraduate/postgraduate programme
- Hold confidentiality in the highest regard
- Familiar with spreadsheets and online forms
- Capable of typing English and Chinese
- Detail-oriented
- Understand the importance of data integrity
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
