Assistant Accounting Manager I

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of Accounting staff members to perform a wide range of accounting duties, including the timely completion of the monthly payroll cycles
Compile staff cost budget for departments/units and the University as a whole
Compile tax returns for the Inland Revenue Department
Assist the supervisors in streamlining the workflows to improve work efficiency
Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

A recognized Degree or equivalent qualifications in Accounting or related disciplines
A member of HKICPA/ACCA or other relevant professional bodies
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in one or more areas of accounting work, with at least 3 years in a management position
Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with multi-tasking skills
Excellent PC skills in MS Office and good knowledge of a computerized accounting system
Experience in the higher education / non-governmental organization sector is preferred

Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, and gratuity.
