THE JOB

Reporting to Accounting Officer (“ACO”), the Part-time Accounting Officer will be responsible for the following duties of the cost centres assigned:

Process payments, prepare payment vouchers and dispatch cheques to ensure that transactions are in accordance with the financial procedures;
Process advance payments and final settlements of overseas duty travel expenses;
Issue debit notes for billing requests;
Handle daily collection, cash count and reconciliation of the daily collection;
Handle petty cash disbursement, replenishment and journal preparation;
Maintain creditors accounts, debtors accounts and other funding accounts of the respective user departments;
Prepare for month-end journals and bank reconciliations;
Assist ACO in preparing for regular and month-end analysis and reports to user departments;
Maintain proper filing of accounting records; and
Perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have: (1) a minimum of 5 passes in HKCEE or 5 HKDSE subjects with at least Level 2 or equivalent, including English, Chinese and Mathematics; or (2) any post-secondary qualification;
Holder of LCCI Level 2; or diploma / higher certificate in Accounting is preferable;
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant accounting experience preferably gained from a sizable organization;
Fair communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
Good in excel worksheet manipulation and Chinese Word Processing; and
Knowledge in Sun Account System and Infor Q&A is an advantage, but not a must.
