Executive Officer (Study in Hong Kong Office for UGC-funded Universities) (two posts) (Ref. 251017014-IE)

The Study in Hong Kong Office for UGC-funded Universities reports to the Heads of Universities Committee’s Standing Committee for Internationalisation (HUCOMSCI) and provides support for the Committee’s work. Its scope covers a range of Hong Kong’s higher education internationalisation initiatives, including but not limited to the major international education conferences and exhibitions, student recruitment activities outside Hong Kong, and the development of promotional campaigns and materials. This Office strives to develop the “Study in Hong Kong” brand globally, strengthening partnership development, institutional collaborations, student mobility and student recruitment for the universities in Hong Kong.

Duties

The appointees will assist the Study in Hong Kong Office for UGC-funded Universities to:

(a) execute the HUCOMSCI’s initiatives and activities;

(b) engage targeted markets and liaise with external stakeholders to facilitate non-local student recruitment for Hong Kong’s higher education;

(c) coordinate publicity and promotion activities, and the participation of UGC-funded universities in international higher education exhibitions and conferences in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and overseas;

(d) liaise with UGC-funded universities and other stakeholders to coordinate the logistics and administrative tasks for events and activities;

(e) develop and implement communications and publicity strategies in online and offline channels, and manage the website;

(f) provide executive support to the operation of the Office and manage data and records; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the HUCOMSCI convenor, Head of Office or their delegates.

The appointees may be required to work beyond or outside regular office hours and travel abroad to participate in duty-related events/activities.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;

(b) at least five years of relevant working experience, preferably in the field of marketing and communication, higher education administration or event management;

(d) excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;

(e) good time-management and organisational skills; and

(f) an attention to detail, sound judgement, as well as interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
