We invite now high caliber talent to apply for Fit Technician / Garment Technician to join our rapidly growing sourcing team in Hong Kong. This position supports product development and commercialization with a fast-paced successful team.
Responsibilities.
- Responsible for working in co-ordination with counterparts in buying countries to establish and maintain a standardised fit process to drive improved fit consistencies across all consumer markets
- Establish standardised blocks and grade rules in co-ordination with counterparts in buying countries, for existing and new products across all textiles categories
- Responsible for sample review and approval (fit, constructions & workmanship) from proto, tender sign-off, size set to PP and production according to Aldi defined technical specifications and safety requirements
- Build and maintain QA workbook size spec and fit pages
- Manage fit test on dummy then correct pattern and size spec to the desired fit
- Review factory size spec and grading and monitor improvement action
- Communicate with factories for company fit requirements and provide technical advice and solutions
- Partner with Quality Specialist and Sourcing to meet sample turnaround time
- Handle ad-hoc task as assigned from Quality Manager
- Experience in knit or cut&sewn for menswear; babies & childrenswear is advantageous
Your Profile
- Diploma or above in related disciplines (e.g. Textiles, Apparel & Quality Management, etc.)
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience, preferably gained in sourcing/buying offices, working with garment/ textile products
- Good knowledge in fabric, sewing, garment fitting, pattern making and garment production (knit/woven)
- Good knowledge in textile wet processing (dyeing/finishing/printing/coating)
- Good Knowledge in performance and outer wear in terms of construction and functionality
- Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and 3D CAD system is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good team player
- Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn
- Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills
- High level of computer literacy in MS office
- High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness
