We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:

Part-time Research Assistant I/II (N&HS) (Ref: 25001XM)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist Principal Investigator in the research project “Optimising self-guided mindfulness-based interventions for reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety: a pilot factorial trial”. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

Mobile app development and testing;
Assisting in data collection and monitoring; and
Providing research-related assistance.

He/she will be normally assigned to work not more than 17 hours per week.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines; those with more experience or Master’s degree may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.
Prior experience in participating in health-related studies would be advantageous;
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
Strong sense of self-motivation and responsibility, able to work independently.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
