Major Duties:
(a) To assist the Project Officer in organising and coordinating activities and managing resources for capacity building programme with special reference to new energy transportation;
(b) To liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate industry and community collaborations for promoting the adoption of green transport in Hong Kong;
(c) To maintain close liaison and work relationships with stakeholders from the industry, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and education institutions for collaborations and events;
(d) To assist the Project Officer in designing and developing teaching and learning packages for new energy transport;
(e) To perform training duties, including preparation and delivery of training materials and other related activities, and to oversee course administration and budget control; and
(f) To assist in providing engineering consulting service, monitoring the project progress and liaising with the NGOs in supporting the adoption of new energy vehicles in their operation.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Technology, or a related field;
(b) At least 6 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, preferably with technical / diagnostic automotive experience & leading technical training in the automotive industry;
(c) Solid knowledge and skills in electrical vehicle (EV) and vehicle drive train technologies management;
(d) Good presentation, training, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
(e) Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
(f) Proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
(g) The ability to pass a trade test.
Notes:
(1) The post is at the rank of Senior Instructor.
(2) Candidates without the required academic qualification but possessing 12 years’ experience in the relevant industry and / or teaching may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(3) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(4) The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi).
(5) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
