Assistant Officer / Executive Assistant (Ref. 250819006-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative support to the academic activities of the Unit, coordinate student activities and handle student enquiries;

(b) provide secretarial support to departmental senior staff as assigned by the Head of Unit;

(d) assist in organising and coordinating various types of events and functions;

(e) supervise junior clerical staff;

(f) liaise with other departments of the University and external organisations; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree with several years of administrative experience, preferably gained in tertiary education sector;

(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d) have good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; and

(e) be proactive and attentive to details.

Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Executive Assistant.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
