Role Purpose:
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking (Assistant) People Development Manager to elevate customer service excellence and strengthen product-specialist selling capabilities across our Retail HK Business Units. In this key leadership position, you will oversee the end-to-end design, development, and execution of customer-focused learning initiatives, empowering our Sales Operations teams to deliver exceptional service, articulate product value, and drive customer conversion.
A typical day in this Role:
- Customer-Centric Training Program Design: Lead the creation and delivery of impactful programs that foster a customer-centric culture and elevate service excellence across all retail touchpoints.
- Product & Sales Capabilities Building: Develop and manage targeted learning experiences to deepen product expertise and enhance consultative selling skills for confident, solution-driven interactions.
- Facilitate Dynamic Learning: Lead engaging, interactive workshops—both online and in person—that inspire participation, real-time skill practice, and peer learning.
- Drive Content Innovation: Refresh and enrich training materials by integrating current retail trends, customer insights, and product advancements.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with retail leaders, product teams, and People Team to identify learning needs and co-create high-impact development plans that drive frontline performance and customer satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance & Impact Analysis: Oversee quality assurance of QF-recognised programs and leverage data-driven insights to refine training strategies and maximize learning outcomes.

Success will depend on:
- Proven experience in people development, retail training, or a related field, with proven success in designing and delivering customer service and sales training programs within retail or similar markets.
- Academic background in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with e-learning platforms and digital training tools is a strong advantage.
- Professional certifications in training, coaching are highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
- A team player with a positive attitude, capable of working independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant People Development Manager, based on demonstrated capabilities and potential.
