Job Duties:

Report to the Headmaster;
Oversee the full range of financial and related functions of the School (including Secondary Division, Primary Division, the Boarding School, and catering operation) and DBS Foundation Limited;
Manage and report on the finances of the School and Foundation Limited, including preparation of relevant financial statements and required returns;
Develop and recommend operational budgets and capital expenditure proposals to meet the operating objectives and plans of the School;
Manage the School’s cash and funding position as well as handling treasury functions;
Oversee the School’s system of internal controls, and ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance; ensuring the integrity of the accounting system (policies & procedures, systems and record, and procurement of goods & services);
Managing the activities and work of the Chief Financial Officer’s Office.

Requirements:

A degree in Finance & Accounting discipline with a recognized professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent);
A minimum of 10 years experience in managing the finance function of an organization of comparable size to the School;
With previous experience in educational institutions and/or non-profit making organizations preferred;
Solid experience in business planning & analysis, financial evaluation of capital expenditure proposals and close working experience with School Records and EDB;
Impeccable integrity, and strong leadership, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills;
Good PC working knowledge, and familiarity with financial application;
Strong written & verbal communication skills, and fluency in English & Cantonese are required.
