RAAFA HomeCare is seeking
Qualified and Domestic Community Support Workers to support our clients to maintain their well-being and independence.
- As a Qualified Community Support Worker, you will be assisting clients with personal care, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance, social support, transportation to appointments and extended respite services.
- As a Domestic Community Support Worker, you will be assisting clients with general housework to ensure their home environment remains clean and organised.
Whether as a Qualified or Domestic Community Support Worker with RAAFA HomeCare, you will become part of the client's support system and build a positive relationship with them and their families.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term, casual or permanent) that arise within the next 6 months from date of first appointment.

About The Role
- A rewarding role working with clients across the Southern Suburbs.
- Support Clients to remain living at home.
- Assist with client's personal care.
- Ensuring client's home environment remains clean and organised.
- Assist in the preparation of meals for the clients.
- Provide support to clients by assisting with shopping.
- Support the clients socially and domestically while creating a positive rapport.
- Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of clients.
What You Need
- Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support Aged Care (essential for a Qualified role).
- Previous experience working in the community or Residential Aged Care.
- A valid driver’s licence with access to your own vehicle.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs.
- Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
- Enjoy building positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Be eligible to work in Australia.
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one.
- Be up to date with your COVID 19 and flu vaccinations.
