Senior Officer (Statistics)

The Job

To prepare regular and ad hoc statistical reports for both internal and external parties;
To liaise with internal and external parties in relation to compilation and provision of statistics;
To assist in developing and updating database and management information system;
To assist in conducting regular review of the methodology for compilation of statistics; and
To perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

The Person

A recognized degree, preferably with a major in statistics, finance, mathematics or quantitative analysis, or equivalent;
A minimum four years of relevant experience in statistical analysis, information management, business analysis or related fields, preferably from public or sizable organizations;
Proficiency in Excel and word processing software;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
Experience in supporting project management, SQL / PowerBI / QlikSense / Tableau is advantageous;
Able to exercise good judgement by analyzing relevant issues logically;
Capable of explaining ideas and thoughts in a clear and organized way;
Flexible towards changes and able to work independently as well as under pressure; and
Able to build and maintain good relationships with team members.

Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixedterm basis.
