Responsibilities
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the research team and will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Conducting literature search for research proposals on cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases and/or dementia;
- Performing data collection and data input;
- Building healthcare databases for on cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases and/or dementia;
- Undertaking big data or bioinformatics analysis (for Temporary Research Assistant I/II);
- Leading big data analyses for disease and adverse outcomes prediction (for Temporary Research Associate);
- Leading the drafting of manuscripts and grants (for Temporary Research Associate); and
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Candidates
Candidates Should Possess The Following Qualifications, Experience And Competence
- A Bachelor’s degree (for Temporary Research Assistant II), a Master’s degree (for Temporary Research Assistant I) or a Doctoral degree (for Temporary Research Associate) in the Biomedical Sciences (e.g. Medicine, Biomedical Science, Data Science) or a related field;
- A good command of Chinese and English;
- Previous experience in data collection;
- Preference will be given to those with experience in handling large datasets, those with experience in bioinformatics, or those who are proficient in Next-Generation Sequencing, Whole-Genome Sequencing and in handling VCF files; and;
- Preference will be given to those who have publications as first authors in leading medical journals, especially those in quartiles 1 and/or 2 of Journal Citations Report ranking.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Duration
The contract period will be for 3 months.
