Project Manager – Injection Molding & Vendor Development (Shenzhen Based)

About the Role

We're seeking a hands-on Project Manager with a solid engineering background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding, vendor development , and consumer electronics accessories . If you've rolled up your sleeves to develop phone cases, AirPods accessories, or laptop sleeves from scratch – from CAD to carton – this one’s for you. We'd like the person to be available in Shenzhen

Key Responsibilities

Product Development:
Lead end-to-end development of tech accessories – including phone cases, laptop bags, watch straps, and more – from concept to mass production.
Collaborate with design, mold suppliers, and printing/finishing vendors.
Vendor Development & Management:
Build and manage a reliable supply chain of factories for injection molding, PU cutting/sewing, and decoration.
Regular audits, capacity assessments, and negotiation for pricing, MOQs, and lead times.
3D Data & CAD Coordination:
Work closely with design and tooling teams to review and coordinate 3D models.
Basic understanding of CAD to verify tolerances, wall thickness, mold-fit feasibility, etc.
QC & Technical Oversight:
Define and implement quality control protocols for molded and sewn goods.
Manage pilot production, golden samples, and product validation cycles.
Logistics & Supply Chain Interface:
Coordinate production timelines, raw material readiness, and outbound shipments.
Handle BOM creation, packaging specs, and carton details with vendors and freight partners.
Negotiation & Contracting:
Execute supplier contracts and NDAs.
Handle price finalization, tooling agreements, and exclusivity clauses where applicable.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
Master's preferred but not required.

Experience:
5+ years in project/vendor management roles, preferably in tech accessories / lifestyle electronics .
Proven record of developing new products and launching them at scale.
Strong grip on injection molding , material sourcing, and decorative techniques (sublimation, UV printing, etc.).

Skills:
Fluent in Mandarin and English – both spoken and written.
Strong in project planning, tooling management, BOM management , and vendor follow-ups.
Familiar with CAD software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar (basic checking level).
Knowledge of compliance and testing standards is a plus.
