Salary: HK$64,780 per month
Entry Requirements:Candidates should –
(a) have a bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) have at least six years of post-qualification full-time working experience in public relations, corporate communication, journalism, government administration or related fields;
(c) have attained Level 5 or above in both English and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [Notes 1 and 2];
(d) have excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), with solid skills in writing compelling speeches, presentations and other publicity materials. Candidates may be invited to attend a written test;
(e) have good general and current affairs knowledge; and
(f) have good communications skills and be able to work outside regular office hours.
Note:1. ‘Grade C’ or above in Chinese Language and Culture/Chinese Language and Literature and Use of English in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination, as well as ‘Level 2’ in Use of Chinese and Use of English papers in the Common Recruitment Examination are accepted as equivalent to ‘Level 5’ or above in Chinese Language and English Language of the HKDSEE/HKCEE.
2. ‘Grade A’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 5’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:(a) To co-ordinate/write/produce speeches and presentation materials for the senior management’s participation in official visits, events, meetings and social engagements for promoting the Government’s policy initiatives;
(b) To provide logistics and liaison support for the events/meetings, etc.;
(c) To assist the office to manage liaison and communications with external parties including trade/business associations, enterprises, public organisations and other stakeholders;
(d) To provide editorial support on publicity materials; and
(e) To perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.
Terms of Appointment:Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for two years.
Fringe Benefits (a) Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance;
(b) 14 days of paid annual leave in respect of each leave year will be granted for employment under a continuous contract for not less than 12 months; and
(c) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

General Notes:
