Salary: $47,010 per month
Entry Requirements:
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent;
(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (see Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(c) Good command of written English and Chinese;
(d) Fluency in Cantonese, English essential, and in Putonghua preferred;
(e) At least 3 years' relevant post-degree experience;
(f) Experience in school administration and/or relevant experience in school sector preferred;
(g) Good knowledge on the current education issues;
(h) Proficient in computer applications especially in using word processing (including Chinese input methods), spreadsheet and presentation software; and
(i) Self-motivated, able to work independently and with good communication skills.
Note: For appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:
(a) To assist in liaising and coordinating with schools and relevant government departments on different projects launched by the School Administration (SA) Division;
(b) To assist in processing applications from schools on different projects;
(c) To assist in collecting, consolidating, analyzing data and feedback from schools and relevant government departments on different projects for evaluation purpose;
(d) To answer enquiries and consolidate comments from the relevant parties;
(e) To update the relevant information of the Education Bureau webpage that is under the purview of SA Division;
(f) To provide administrative and secretarial support for meetings, briefing sessions and seminars; and
(g) To perform any other duties relating to the policy matters under the purview of SA Division, and as assigned by the senior officers.
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
Fringe Benefits (a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave/paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
