As a Digital Portfolio Manager in our Digital Portfolio Management Office (DPMO), you will help orchestrate high-impact digital & I.T. initiatives, drive tangible impact through optimized resource utilization and value realization; and implement governance frameworks that ensure long-term success.
This role reports to Senior Manager, DPMO.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
- Execute DPMO strategy across our regions, coordinate Digital & IT planning/budgeting, and align projects with business objectives.
- Support senior management in strategy formulation and benefits realization.
2. Portfolio & Program Governance
- Prioritize projects, monitor milestones, manage cross-program dependencies, and oversee risk/issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to PM frameworks (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) and best practices.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal (cross-functional) and external (vendor partners) stakeholders across multiple regions. Manage diverse expectations and facilitate effective communication to support program and portfolio success.
4. Financial Stewardship
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting for the Digital & IT portfolio.
- Optimize spend efficiency with Finance/Procurement teams and track value realization via KPIs/ROI metrics.
- Interpret financial reports and translate financial data into actionable project or portfolio insights.
5. Product Ownership
- Own PPM/Financial Management tools (dashboards, lifecycle management) and drive user adoption/training.
- Align tools strategically across regions and ensure vendor/compliance standards.
6. Performance & Collaboration
- Deliver executive reports on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Mentor project managers and foster cross-functional collaboration.
7. Change Management
- Lead and support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of digital & IT initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with project teams and business functions to embed change management best practices into portfolio and program delivery.
8. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Promote innovation within program and PMO practices. Implement best practices to continuously improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
The Successful Applicant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 4+ years in managerial roles and 3+ years in programme management.
- Proven experience or certification change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is a plus.
- Strong capability to lead organizational change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in Digital & IT budgeting and cost control.
- Proficient in project portfolio management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
