About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for executing the accounting functions for IGSS and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in the Trading or FMCG industries. To learn more about us, visit our website: https://www.igss.group/

Execute the daily accounting processes independently, ensuring accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all business units.
Assist in managing budgets and conduct variance analysis.
Manage credit control processes to ensure timely collections and minimize bad debts by sending accurate, up-to-date invoices and statements to clients, and by making follow-up phone calls.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in preparing necessary tax documentation.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, company secretaries, and tax consultants to facilitate financial operations and ensure compliance.
Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining SOPs for accounting functions to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Assist in monitoring financial controls to safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide assistance in data analysis.
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.

We are looking for someone who is/has

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, specifically within the Trading or FMCG industries. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Accountant.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Xero and Cin7 is an advantage.
Excellent command of both English and Chinese (spoken Cantonese and written); additional languages are a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
