About the role:

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing Asia Fixed Income team, where you will take ownership of coverage across a diverse portfolio of Asian corporate issuers, delivering insightful research and investment recommendations aligned with the First Sentier Investors research framework. While your core focus will be Asia, you will also gain broader exposure by supporting coverage of issuers across other global markets. Working at the heart of the investment process, you will collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers, the Dealing team and fellow analysts, directly influencing investment decisions and portfolio performance.

You’ll be joining a successful, stable team with a long-term mindset that combines a strong results focus with a genuinely down-to-earth and collaborative culture.

Reporting directly to the Head of Asia Fixed Income, you will play an active role within the team through:

Presenting the credit process to clients and external parties.
Taking part in the credit research and strategy sessions.
Producing high-quality, timely written commentary, keeping pace with evolving market conditions and ensuring the team remains well-informed and ahead of the curve.
Generate investment ideas across both primary issuance and secondary markets.

About the Team

First Sentier Investors Asian fixed income capability is designed to provide relevant, high-quality solutions for Asia focused investors within appropriate risk tolerances. Our strategies extend across credit, interest rates and currency. Operating across Hong Kong and Singapore the team comprises of highly experienced investment professionals focused on fixed income in this region.

Our investment philosophy for the Asian Fixed Income team is based on a strong focus on 3 key principles, namely flexibility, research and risk management.

Your skills & experience:

Approximately 5-7 years of experience in Asian credit analysis.
A strong fundamental analysis background to include financial analysis, evaluation of industry fundamentals, management/strategy assessment, ESG risks, ability to question company management, among others.
Experience covering financial institutions would be an advantage.
Ability to clearly articulate views on a credit, and related investment recommendations, to PMs across products through both written and verbal communication.
Excellent English, Mandarin and Cantonese language skill are highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in account & finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
