About the Role We are expanding our AI and machine learning capabilities and are seeking an experienced ML/AI Scientist to help lead this effort. You will develop and deploy ML models across discovery and development programs, collaborate closely with biology and chemistry teams, and contribute to building out our computational infrastructure and capabilities. This role requires both strong technical depth and the ability to work effectively across scientific disciplines.

Requirements:
Education & Experience
• Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, or related field;
• Senior Scientist: 2–4 years of post-degree experience in applied ML/AI, including experience with biological and/or chemical data;
• Principal Scientist: 4-6 years of post-degree experience with a track record of leading ML/AI projects end-to-end and mentoring technical staff.
Technical Skills
• Deep expertise in PyTorch (or equivalent) and modern deep learning methods;
• Experience with and deep understanding of biological or chemical data modalities
(genomics, proteomics, small molecules, imaging, or similar);
• Familiarity with biological foundation models is strongly preferred, including protein
structure and RNA/DNA sequence models;
• Production-level Python; proficiency with relevant scientific libraries (scikit-learn, RDKit,
etc.);
• Experience with ML pipeline tools, cloud or HPC environments, and model deployment;
• Solid grounding in statistics and rigorous experimental design.
Other
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an
advantage.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects in a fast-moving environment.
